Ten different players scored in Friday night's game as the Canes began the season with a 96-67 win against Southside CC.
"Always glad to start the season with a win, but I was not real happy with our performance tonight. I think early on we got away from some of the things we hang our hats on. We will get it fixed."
Leading the way in the scoring column for the games was sophomore Josh Bougher with 17. Also in double figures were sophomore Tyrell Sabb (16), red-shirt freshman Jalen Gaddy (13), and freshman Mikeil Watkins (11).
The Canes are back in action Saturday at 4:00 as they host Southern Maryland CC.
