Football Wins Homecoming

Louisburg College football defeated Ramah Prep 56-0 on homecoming weekend.

Hurricane head coach Quinderra Spellman said, "To dominate a football game you have to win in all three phases: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. Our players put it all together today."

Quarterback Reed Charpia was 6-12 passing for 171 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jevon Myers caught two of the touchdown passes for a total of 63 yards. Jayden Flood-Brown had two receptions for 42 yards. Quantex Christian and Raymond Hall each had a receiving touchdown for over 30 yards.

Jeile Melton, Trey Lunsford, Jake Riddle all had rushing touchdowns. Also, Zyaire Williams had 11 rushing attempts for 54 yards. 

Gavin Gundaker was 8/8 on extra points and had a punt for 60 yards.

The Hurricanes defense had 11 sacks in the game including: Teddy Wilson (4), Mikie Anderson (2), Price Massey, Xzavier Fields, Jordon Miller, Crishaun Saunders, and Mordecai Ngandu.

Wilson, Anderson, and Massey all forced fumbles.

"Today was a great team win for our program," said Coach Spellman. "We're excited with the growth our team has made since week one."

Louisburg College football will take the field against Apprentice School in Newport News, VA next weekend. Kick off is at 1 pm.
