Football Falls to Nassau

The Louisburg College football team came up short on Saturday afternoon in Long Island, NY where they faced off against Nassau Community College. The final score to the game was 35-26. 

Quarterback Nathan Harden threw for 162 yards going 16-28 through the air and added 91 yards on the ground including a pair of touchdowns. 

The Hurricanes were able to run for 225 yards on the day, led by Harden, Dontavies Harris who had 90 yards and Damion Everette who carried the other Louisburg touchdown into the end zone. 

Elijah Rice led all receivers hauling in six catches for 50 yards on the day.

The Hurricanes were led defensively by Devon Beckford and Prentice Murphy who had six and five tackles respectively.

Louisburg will return to the gridiron on Sunday, October 7th for a noon kickoff at Jireh Prep in Charlotte.
