"I am very proud of our coaches and student athletes and especially excited for our sophomores and their accomplishment of completing back to back undefeated regular seasons," said third year head coach Trevor Highfield.

The Hurricanes controlled the game from start to finish with a run game that could not be contained. The Canes attempted just 12 passes on the afternoon.

The Canes carried a 17-7 lead after the first quarter of play with a field goal from Jacob Benjamin and a 7 yard scoring run from Dontavies Harris to go with a defensive touchdown. They continued pouring it on in the second 15 minutes of play with a pair of touchdown runs by DeMarcus Alexander and Elijah Rice to lead 31-14 at halftime.

Coming out of the break, the Canes tightened up on defense to hold the home Hawks scoreless in the 3rd quarter. With the game out of reach and the Hurricane reserves on the field, Hocking was able to pad the stats and make the final score respectable at 45-28.

Louisburg now sits and waits for a potential bowl bid that will be announced November 14. Until that announcement, the Canes will go back to work practicing and preparing for an unknown opponent.
