Bio

Matt Tullock is entering his 2nd season with the Hurricanes, and is responsible for assisting with recruiting and hitters, and works with the catchers.

Previously, Matt was a private hitting and catching instructor at The Ultimate Swing. He was also an assistant coach for an American Legion Baseball team and the Head Coach for P413 Travel Baseball Organization, both based out of Mocksville, NC.

During his playing days, Matt played at the Junior College level and at the NCCAA level. Matt played 2 years at Surry Community College, earning 1st Team All-Region as a catcher, and 1st Team All-Defensive Team in Region 10. Following his 2 years at SCC, he transferred to Carolina University, previously known as Piedmont International University. During his 3 years there and helped lead Carolina University to 2 World Series Appearances. Matt was also named to the All-Region Team for the NCCAA South Region, as well as leading the NCCAA nationally in runners caught stealing during his senior season. 

Matt is a native of Traphill, NC and a 2021 graduate from Carolina University where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in sports management.
