Errors on both sides give Louisburg 3-2 edge

On Wednesday Louisburg College baseball took on Lenoir Community College. Amid 5 errors the Hurricanes were able to come out on top 3-2.

Eric Anderson was the starting pitcher for Louisburg. He gave up an unearned run in the third inning on 4 hits and 7 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. Edmund Kayhko, Joe Hastings, and Tyler Hall completed the last 4 innings leaving Lenoir hitless. Hall was the winning pitcher. Louisburg gave up no earned runs in the contest.

Louisburg scores came off a lead off homerun by shortstop Jack Dragum, a David Cucci steal home in the bottom of the 5th, and a Jonah Beamon bunt in which he reached on an error and scored third baseman Matthew Cotter in the 9th.

With the win the Hurricanes moved to 8-2 on the season. They take the field again for a 4 game series against Cuyahoga Community College at Louisburg on Friday at 3:00 pm.
