Baseball wins 2 of 3

Louisburg College baseball played 3 games at home this weekend against Paul D. Camp Community College.

In the first match up baseball won 3-0. Third Baseman Jonah Beamon began the game with an RBI double in the bottom of the first to score Jack Dragum. Before the end of the inning, Beamon himself scored on a Phillip Boykin sacrifice fly. In the bottom of the 4thPainter singled to left field for the last run of the game. Tyler Shepherd was the winning pitcher. He lasted 7 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits and 8 strikeouts.

In the second game of the series against Paul D. Camp, Louisburg baseball won 4-0 after 7 innings. Jack Dragum was the winning pitcher for 4 innings of work in the shutout.

In the final matchup of the weekend Louisburg baseball lost to Paul D. Camp baseball 7-2. The Hurricanes put together 5 hits, but it wasn't enough for the victory as they stranded 8 on base. KJ Wells recorded the loss giving up 4 runs in 4 innings pitched.

The Hurricanes will return to action Wednesday at Pitt Community College at 3 pm looking to improve on their 3-1 record.
