Louisburg picked up the first win of the best-of-three series against USC Sumter on Saturday. With a trip onto the second round of the Region X tournament - or the end of the season - on the line, the Canes battled for a 6-5 victory over the Fire Ants at Frazier Field.
The Hurricanes fell 21-14 in game two, but with the split, the two teams will meet on Sunday for the rubber match.
First pitch is slated for 1pm.
