Cedric Mullins on MLB All-Star Ballot

Cedric Mullins on MLB All-Star Ballot

Former Louisburg College baseball standout, Cedric Mullins, went on to Campbell University and then was a 13th-round draft pick in the Major League Baseball draft in 2018. He ended up in the big leagues that year and was even starting center fielder for the Orioles at the start of 2019. In his first 22 games, however, he only hit .094 before being sent down to Double-A.

2021 has been a different story. Back in the majors, Mullins boasts a .315 batting average on 94 hits and 13 home runs. He has 28 RBI and 43 runs scored to date. He currently ranks 6th in all of Major League Baseball with 14 stolen bases.

After a great start, Mullins is in phase 2 of voting for the Major League Baseball all-star starters. There is even internet buzz that he could be considered for a Gold Glove or Silver Slugger award.

Click here to vote for Cedric now until Thursday at 2 PM EST.
