Men's soccer heading to the NJCAA D1 Soccer Championship rounds this weekend

Louisburg took on George Military College Friday in Melbourne, Florida in the NJCAA Southeast District Semifinal. The Hurricanes scored three goals on the way to victory. David Amissi was assisted by Hiro Kusa at 18:00 in the first Half. Yuseke Kobayashi scored unassisted at the 75:00 in the second half, and David Amissi broke the 2-2 tie with a goal at 85:00 assisted by Yuseke Kobayashi. 

 

The Hurricanes advanced to play Eastern Florida State College on Saturday. For the Hurricanes Jimmy Cruz, Mark Mitrevski, Remy Bofola, and David Amissi all had shots on goal, but weren't able to find the back of the net. However Louisburg goalie, Justin Ennis, saved 9 shots on goal Saturday to keep the match at a 0-0 tie. The Hurricanes were awarded the tournament championship due to out scoring Eastern Florida on penalty kicks.

 

Up next for the Hurricanes will be pool play November 18-20, semifinals November 22, and finals November 23. All matches will be played at Pat Hartley Complex in Tyler, Texas
