Lady canes volleyball season comes to end with loss to Bryant and Stratton CC

The canes had a very tough stretch of conference matches the last two weeks of the season. They had a chance to make the tournament if they could beat Bryant and Stratton.

The canes took the trip to Virginia beach and battled hard but came out with a 3-0 loss. The 2nd set was very close going back and forth but canes couldnt put the ball away at end of the set and loss 27-25.

That loss moved the canes into 9th place out of the 8th place spot and losing out on a bid to play in the conference tournament.

We did have several players finish very high in statstical ranking in the Region X conference.

McKenna Griffin finished 1st in kills % per set 4.71, 4th with overall kills 292 , playing 30% less sets than most of the conference players ahead of her.

Linsday Kirby finished 1st in serving aces per set 0.82 avg and digs per set 5.44

Rebecca Brown finished 3rd in assists per set avg with 7.52

The lady canes had a fun season overall, and looking foward to some downtime as they prepare for end of semester finals and holidays.
