Hurricanes volleyball lose on the road vs #4 ranked Catawba Valley CC

The lady canes faced a very tough conference foe on Friday afternoon in Hickory, NC.  Catawba Valley came out focused and jumped on the canes in the 1st set.

They came out serving tough and handled out of system plays well to take the 1st set 25-3. The lady canes put together small runs over the next two sets but Catawba Valley has too much fire power and won 25-13; 25-14 in next two sets.

The lady canes managed -.026 hitting percentage for the match, 12 assists, 2 aces , 31 digs as a team.  The team is now 3-1 in the conference and 5-2 overall.  The lady canes have 2 non conference matches coming up this week.

Then they will kick off October with a conference match vs PITT CC  on 10/1.
