Women's basketball get a big road win at Lenior CC 95-61

All 14 members of the women's basketball team who suited up for Louisburg College logged minutes in tonight's 95-61 win over Lenoir Community College.

The Hurricanes jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and were able to hold off the hot three point shooting of Lenoir.

"I was worried going into this game right before Thanksgiving break that our focus wouldn't be there," said first year head coach Jason Rasnake.  "We did have some lulls in our play tonight but overall I was pleased with our execution.  We got really good looks at the basket and we were able to knock them down."

Jainaya Jones almost had a triple double with 17pts, 9 assists,  and 8 steals. They had multiple double figure scorers off the bench, led by Markela Avent with 18pts.

The Hurricanes go into the holiday break with a 3-2 conference record, 6-3 overall record.

Currently they are 6th in the Region X conference standings
