Lady canes basketball team get a big conference win over Lenior CC 102-31

Louisburg Women's Basketball surpassed the 100 point mark for the third straight game on Wednesday night on their way to a victory over Lenoir Community College.

Starasia Bell-Freeman got the Hurricanes going early with a 13 point first quarter. She finished the game leading all scorers with 20 points.

Transition baskets were the name of the game in the first half with many of the Hurricanes' points coming off the Lancer's turnovers.  "We were able to fix many of the defensive mistakes we made in the last game which allowed us to set the tone and pace of the game from the beginning tonight," said Head Coach Jason Rasnake after the game.

Balanced scoring was the name of the game in the second half. The Hurricanes finished the game with six players in double figure scoring.  "We really focused on executing our offense in the second half, making sure we had high quality possessions down the stretch," Rasnake continued.

This game ended a three game home stand for the Hurricanes.  They will play again on the road this weekend in the Fort Hood Memorial Veterans Day Classic hosted by Johnston Community College

Canes are 1-0 in Region X play and 2-1 overall
