Louisburg Wraps Up Season

LOUISBURG -- Home-court advantage did not prove to be beneficial to the Louisburg College Lady Hurricanes at the annual Region X Women's Basketball Tournament.

Instead, LC saw its campaign come to a close last Thursday with a 92-83 setback against Clinton Junior College in first-round tourney action at the Taylor Center.

Louisburg College wrapped up its schedule with an 18-11 overall record under veteran head coach Shay Hayes.

Cape Fear CC won the tournament with a 66-60 victory over Bryant and Stratton in the championship game and will represent Region X at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Tournament in Harrison, Arkansas.
