Men's cross country take 26th at NJCAA National Championships

The Hurricanes Cross Country Men finished their season at the NJCAA Cross Country National Championship Saturday in Albuquerque, NM. The Canes placed 26th as a team out of 45 teams competing.

It was a perfect day for cross country at the University of New Mexico North Golf Course. The weather was just over 50 degrees and, despite being at just over 5000ft of altitude, it was a fast race from the gun. Leading the way for the Canes, Henry Coddington and Dennis McCheskey ran well together finishing in 77th and 84th overall. Both McCheskey as well as Dexter Hill, 3rd for the Canes, ran new personal best times for 8k, an impressive feet at such high altitude. Burch Greene finished 4th for the Canes and Kyle Owino finished the team scoring, solidifying the 26th place finish. Zaire Jordan in 6th for the team ran a new season's best time.

Now the athletes will take some time off to recover before gearing up for the Indoor Track season
