Louisburg College Men's and Women's Cross Country Ranked in Initial Polls

Both the Louisburg College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams have been ranked in the initial
NJCAA Cross Country National Polls to start the season. Despite a cancellation due to Hurricane Florence
the Men were ranked 10th and the Women were ranked 21st. The men continue their consecutive streak
of being ranked in the top 10 which dates back to 2014 while this is the first time Women have been
ranked for the first time since Week 1 of last year. Both teams were the highest ranked in Region X and
look to continue their momentum as championship season begins in the next month.
"I'm very proud of both teams for being ranked to start the season" said Coach Josh Hayman. "However,
I feel that we have the talent to be ranked even higher. I think both teams can continue to make an
impact at the national level, and that you'll probably see the Canes move up in the rankings as the
season Progresses!"

Both teams continue their season on the 28 th as they travel to Charlotte for the Queens Invitational at
McAlpine Park.
