"I'm pretty excited with this result" said Head Coach Josh Hayman. "Obviously coming into the first race of the season you're nervous because you don't know exactly how they will hang in a race situation, but the freshman ran well for and the sophomores showed their experience in their first true test of the year. I am very excited to see what we can do the remainder of this season. I think we can set our goals pretty high for both the Men's and Women's team. As long as they keep working we can do some pretty special things."

The Women's team continues their season next Saturday as they travel to Fayetteville for the Methodist Inviational while they men take the week off to train and race at the Lenoir Rhyne Invite September 14th.
