Top Prospects Choose LC

Head Coach Jay Koloseus is excited to announce a strong recruiting class for the 2017-2018 school year. The Canes look to build on to their current national powerhouse squad with these thirteen early commits.

On the women's team, Southeast Raleigh's top runner Eboni Roberson has signed to represent Louisburg. She is accompanied by Joia Hervey and Kayla Hately from powerhouse Southview High. Joined by the pride of local Rolesville High School, Kalya McAgy, the upside of this early distance class is tremendous.

Track stars Lauren Rhoden and Britney Reed are two more early grabs for the Lady Canes; hailing from West Stokes and St. John Paul II high school, respectively. These multi-event athletes will kick off the new track signees for the 2017 class.

Highlighting an impressive distance class on the men's side, Steven Velazquez and Kyle Hinson are the first to sign for the Canes. Velazquez, a native of Georgia, will come in with superstar talent Hinson out of Weddington. Hinson is a one of North Carolina's top runners. Cape Fear high school's top athlete Anthony Hall and new-comer to the sport, Josh Lyons, from North Edgecombe (NC) will add depth to the class.

With the recent announcement of the addition of a Track & Field team in 2017, Quinton Adams of Carrboro has chosen LC. Adams is one of the state's top multi-event athletes. The additions of sprinter Malik Banner from Mount Pleasant (SC) and New Jersey middle-distance star Bruce Williams will surely bring success to the young team.
