The Louisburg Hurricanes once again set records while multiple team members moved up the national rankings Friday and Saturday at the Camel City Invitational at JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem.

The number 16 ranked Men's team once again got the day started on a fast note as Aveon Reid set the school record in the 200 Meters running time of 22.76 that was converted into a 22.34 due to the flat 200 meter track. That time moves him up to 40th on the national list.
Walker Hirsch kept the day going in the 1000 meter race with a national qualifying time of 3 minutes 35 seconds which places him 7th in the country. Orlandus Gamble added to the list of national qualifiers with a 13 CM PR in the high jump. Gamble's jump of 2 Meters 10 not only increases his school record, but also places him 3rd in the NJCAA national rankings, this also makes Orlandus the first male jumper to qualify for nationals for Louisburg. Also moving up to third was Tayshaun Chisholm who took the school record from Reid with a time of 8.06 in the 60 Meter Hurdles which was good enough for 3rd in the race. In the 600 meter race Qua-Ronz Robinson ran a time of 1 minute 24 seconds to take the school record.
The Men's 4X400 relay ended the meet by being the first sprint relay to qualify for nationals. The team of Levin Koonce, Qua-Ronz Robinson, John Connolly, and Aveon Reid came second in their heat and 6th in the race their converted time of 3:21.5 is good enough for 11th nation.
