Men's Soccer clinches regular season

Last night, Louisburg College men's soccer finished the regular season as Region X champions. They had a 7-4-1 record overall, but only lost 1 game in region play. That one loss came at Patrick Henry in September 3-1, but in the rematch Louisburg clinched with a 2-1 victory.

Yusuke Kobayashi had 2 shots on goal. Nick Lowery and Simon Afrifa each added 1.

Kobayashi scored unassisted at 29:00 in the 1st. Nick Lowery scored to make it 2-0 at 72:00 in the 2nd. 

Defensively Louisburg held Patrick Henry scoreless until 85:00. Pride Simpson 5 saves on 6 shots on goal.

The Hurricanes will host the Region X tournament as the higher seed. Play resumes next Wednesday, October 27.
