Men's basketball fall to Guilford Tech Community College 100-87

Men's Basketball played host to Guilford Technical Community College on Wednesday night when the Hurricanes defense could not stop Guilford Tech from securing an early 15-point lead. Louisburg was able to get as close as 6, but never lead in the contest.

"We had three good days of practice after Thanksgiving, but came out flat tonight," said Hurricanes coach Bryan Bagwell. "It is tough to give up 28 points in the first 8 minutes and play from behind all night. Our defense has to be different against Davidson [County Community College] this weekend."

Freshman, Malik Bryant, led the Hurricanes in scoring with 16—going 7-7 from 2 point range. De'Shone Hicks and Jordan Beale finished with 15 points. Aaron Simmons and Jalen Harris finished with 14 a piece. Harris also finished the game with 9 rebounds.

The Hurricanes will enter Saturday's game versus Davidson County Community College with a 2-1 record in Region X. That game will tip off in Taylor Arena at 3:00 pm.
