Men's basketball team get Region X win over Fayetteville Technical CC

Louisburg College men's basketball was victorious last night in game two of Region X play—last night against Fayetteville Technical Community College.   

The Hurricanes went into the locker room down 38-37 at halftime, but were able to close out the game making big shots at crucial times late in the second half. Second chances opportunities also benefited the Hurricanes. Terrelle Bowens and Antonio Patterson lead the Hurricanes on the glass with 5 and 4 offensive rebounds respectively. Patterson also contributed a season high 9 blocked shots.   

According to Head Coach Bryan Bagwell, "We turned it over 6 times more than our average tonight, but were able to still finish when we needed to. Our offensive flow has to get better."                    

Aaron Simmons lead all Hurricanes in scoring with 13 points. Terrelle Bowens (12), Antonio Patterson (10), and DeShone Hicks (10) all had double figures. 

With the win men's basketball moves to 2-0 in Region X play and 5-2 overall. The Hurricanes go to take on Spartanburg Methodist College on Saturday for non-league play. Tip off is at 3:00 pm
