Canes Cruise Past CVCC, 92-66; Two Games Up With Two To Play

The Louisburg College Men's Basketball team moved one step closer to clinching the Region X regular season title and top seed in the Region X Championship by defeating Catawba Valley, 92-66, Saturday afternoon on the road.  With two games to play in the regular season, the Canes sit two games up on the field.  "We're right where we want to be with two home games left to play," said Head Coach Neil Dixon.
The story line coming out of the afternoon road contest is the Hurricanes remaining schedule because of the dominance they exhibited in the game.  The contest was never close and Louisburg led most of the game by 20 points or more.
The Hurricanes were led in scoring by usual suspect, Jordan Oakley (21), and he was joined in double figures by Lewis Freeman (16), Seth McCoy (12) and Armoni Lee (11).
Louisburg will return home for the final two games of the regular season with a 23-4 overall record and a 16-2 mark in Region X play.  The homestand begins on Wednesday with a 7pm tip against Lenoir Community College inside Roger Taylor Arena.

The Canes will close out the regular season next Saturday at home when Pitt Community College comes to town.
