Hurricanes Take Down FTCC On Road, 90-88

The Louisburg College Men's Basketball team won a road contest Monday night at Fayetteville Tech by a final of 90-88.  The Canes improve to 21-4 (14-2 in Region X) on the season with win and will play three of their final four regular season contests at home.

The first half saw back and forth action throughout, but FTCC closed the half out with a strong push to take a three point lead into the intermission.  The second half was controlled by Fayetteville Tech until late when the Hurricanes were able to climb back in and take a late lead.  After taking the lead late, Louisburg was able to hang on and secure the road victory.

The Canes used a balanced scoring attack, including five players with double figure scoring efforts, to outlast Fayetteville Tech.  Lewis Freeman led the way in scoring with 22 and was joined by Armoni Lee(18), Jordan Oakley (12), Jalen Gaddy (11) and Mikeil Watkins (10).

The Hurricanes return to Roger Taylor Arena on Wednesday night when they will look to keep their unblemished home record in tact with a 7pm tip off with Bryant & Stratton College.

"We've worked really hard to be in first place with 3 of our remaining 4 at home.  We could really use an atmosphere like we had last week," said Head Coach Neil Dixon.
