Canes Roll In 2018 Football Finale

The Louisburg College football team wrapped up the 2018 regular season with a huge win at a neutral site against the College of DuPage out of Illinois by the score of 47-9.  This brought the Hurricanes record to 6-3 to finish out the regular season.

 

The College of DuPage started out with a field goal to make the score 3-0 with 10:42 left in the first quarter.  The Hurricanes then went on a 47 to 0 scoring spree into the fourth quarter.  The 'Canes defense gave up a late touchdown to let College of DuPage 47-9.

 

The Hurricanes offense was hitting on all cylinders ending the game with 338 total yards of offense.  EJ Harris led the Hurricanes on the ground with 77 yards on 17 carries and found the end zone one time.  Jacobi Emery also was outstanding on the ground with carrying the ball 8 times for 70 yards finding the end zone for the Hurricanes.  Other Hurricane rushers that found the end zone were Keyonte Thompson, Damon Everette.  Nathan Harden finished the day for the 'Canes with 114 yards through the air on 7 completions with 13 attempts with 1 touchdown on the day.  Rashaan Young finished the day with 2 catches for 35 yards.  Makaius Brewer was the recipient of the touchdown pass from Harden.  

 

The Hurricanes defense was stiffing only allowing College of DuPage 189 yards of total offense.  Prentice Murphy led the defense with 11.5 tackles on the day and Devante Williams had 7 tackles for the Hurricanes defense.  The 'Canes defense tallied 3 sacks on the day for a loss of 23 yards on the College of DuPage offense, and tallied 13 tackles for loss ending up setting their offense back 78 more yards.

The Hurricanes finish the regular season with a record of 6-3.
