Hurricane football defeat Palmetto Prep 48-17 , run their record to 6-0 on the season.

The Louisburg College football team ran their perfect record in 2017 to 6-0 with a 48-17 drubbing of Palmetto Prep on Saturday afternoon at Patterson Field.

The Hurricanes owned just a 10-9 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but it was all Hurricanes from that point forward. They were able to extend that lead by an additional score, 17-9, at the halftime break and then put it into cruise control by outscoring the Minutemen 31-8 over the final 30 minutes.

Head Coach Trevor Highfield's Hurricanes remained composed in tense moments during yet another blowout win when emotions ran high. The game was put out of reach with a bruising 1 yard touchdown run with 2:48 to play.

The Canes head to Hocking College to close out their 2017 campaign on October 28 with a 1pm kickoff.
